Hi Karim, you can clear CAT 2022 if you have the motivation and discipline to prep. You can start by working on the sections where you scored relatively lower in the past papers. For example, if you scored less in Quant (QA), you can look to brush up on your concepts and solve more questions there. Once you have a grip on key areas such as Arithmetic and Algebra, try taking a mock or a sectional. You can also take the Quiz of the Day at https://mockat.com/prepzone/#compete daily to prep more.
Vignesh sir and Sanjana mam take weekly sessions to help students on the Strategy to Crack CAT 2022. If you feel that you need more guidance, you can reach out to us at 9600121800 to attend this free session.
All the best!
I took CAT 2021 and got a low percentile? Can I clear CAT 2022?
Hi Mahima, you’ll get CAT previous year papers for 2017 to 2021. You’ll also get the earlier papers upto CAT 2008 (CAT had not released the response sheet for CAT 2009 to CAT 2016, which were the first few years where the exam was held online).
You can definitely start with solving the past papers. This will give you an idea of where you stand and which sections you need to focus on more (Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability). I would suggest that
you solve CAT 2020 and CAT 2021 papers which are in the 2-hour format. Once you solve them and get your scores, you can calculate your expected percentiles.
Depending on how much prep you need, you can choose to get coaching or only questions. If your percentile is 75 or higher (overall), then you can look at getting Practice questions and Mock tests. If you’re scoring lower than that, or low in one or two sections, or you feel that you need the guidance or discipline that a mentor can provide, you can sign up for coaching. All the best!
Thanks. I also have another doubt, Is it enough to solve the previous year's papers to clear CAT 2022?
Hi Mahima, we have 8 months from now for the CAT. This should be sufficient based on your current state, available time and most important, access to good content and faculty.
We have a free mock at https://mockat.com/prepzone/#compete with video solutions and detailed analysis. Take the mock to understand your strengths and weakness before you start your preparation.
Based on the mock, you can plan your strategy and focus areas. You can also reach out to us on 9600121800 and we can share the invite for Mockat's weekly session to Crack CAT 2022, where we share a Study Plan that you can follow. You can use that for your prep.
All the best for your prep!
I am thinking to appear for CAT this year, Can I crack it if I start my preparation in April?
