Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore, this year’s convenor of CAT, released the admit card for CAT 2022 on October 27th 2022
. Candidates who have applied for the exam can download the admit cards by visiting the official website

CAT is an entrance test for Postgraduate Programmes in Management at IIMs and many other B-schools. Every year, CAT is scheduled on the last Sunday of November. This year, the exam is scheduled for 27th November 2022
. The exam will be conducted in around 150 cities all over India. There are three slots, as given below, the candidates must make a note of the slots before appearing for the exam. The test cities for CAT will be mentioned on the CAT website and the name of the test centre will be specified in the admit card.
: 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
: 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
: 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Candidates must report to the centre at least 90 mins
before the commencement of the exam. We also recommend you take a look around the location two days prior if you aren't familiar with the place. Request for change of test centres will not be permitted. Candidates must go through the guidelines and instructions thoroughly before appearing for the exam.
The duration of the test will be 120 mins
. There will be three sections:
: Verbal ability and Reading Comprehension
: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
: Quantitative Ability
Candidates will be allotted 40 mins
for each section and cannot switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section. The results are likely to be declared by January 2023
. The scores are valid only till December 31, 2023
The eligibility criteria and cut-off scores differ for each IIM and follow a different selection process. Performance in CAT is an important component in the selection process. IIMs and other top business schools consider previous academic performances, work experience if required, performance in group discussions and personal interviews etc. while shortlisting the candidates apart from the CAT scores.
