GMAC has announced the registration for the NMAT exam.
The NMAT (NMIMS Management Aptitude Test) is conducted by
GMAT for the
NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies) institutes. There are multiple institutes across
Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Navi Mumbai, Indore, Shirpur and Dhule. In addition to this, the NMAT exam score is usually accepted by
SPJIMR, SDA Bocconi, XIMB, etc.
The format of this exam is like GMAT, and candidates have to attempt each question in a consecutive order. Because of this, there is
no negative marking in NMAT.
The registration window is open from
August 3 to November 10, 2021, and you can register upto
November 15, 2021 by paying a late fee. The charge is
INR 2300, and the
late fee is INR 500.
The Exam dates are
October 14, 2021 to December 27, 2021. NMAT 2021 will be an online exam in two testing modes –
Computer based test at exam centres and Online Proctored Exam from home. These two attributes (flexibility in test-taking date and centre) make it one of the most convenient exams in India.
One key change brought about by NMIMS this year is that
retakes will not be allowed. NMIMS institutes used to accept candidates' scores based on the best of three tests previously, but this has been changed this year. They will accept the score for the first (Main) attempt only. Retakes are still permitted, but the retake scores will not be accepted by NMIMS institutes.
NMAT has also reduced the number of questions to
108 questions in 120 minutes. The sections are
Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning, and candidates can select the order in which to answer.
NMAT registration has to be done on
NMAT Registration, after which application for NMIMS can be done on
NMIMS_Application_Login with the GMAC registration number.
