Decolonising literature is not about removing biased or powerful literature from the syllabus. Instead, it includes:
1. Critically examining these books, the environment at that time and the current environment (which can also have similar inequity)
2. Introducing diverse (non-white male) authors
3. Acknowledging the bias and injustice instead of avoiding it, as underprivileged people face bias and injustice frequently. Talking about it will enable students to examine and potentially minimize it.
