Read the following and answer the questions that follow

Due to astrological reasons, a mother named all her daughters with the alphabet ‘K’ as Kamla, Kamlesh, Kriti, Kripa, Kranti and Kalpana.
i. Kamla is not the tallest while Kripa is not the most qualified.
ii. The shortest is the most qualified amongst them all.
iii. Kalpana is more qualified than Kamlesh who is more qualified than Kriti.
iv. Kamla is less qualified than Kamlesh but is taller than Kamlesh.
v. Kalpana is shorter than Kriti but taller than Kranti.
vi. Kriti is more qualified than Kamla while Kamlesh is taller than Kriti.
vii. Kripa is the least qualified amongst the daughters

The rank assigned is 1 for the tallest/most qualified and 6 for the shortest/least qualified.



From (vii) and (i) it is given that Kripa is the least qualified, therefore she takes the 6th position in qualification. Kamla is not the tallest, so the rank that she got in the height category is not 1. In (iv), (v), and (vi) it is given that Kamla > Kamlesh > Kriti > Kalpana > Kranti are already in the decreasing order of their heights, therefore we can directly place them in the table from the rank (2 to 5). Since Kripa is the only person missing in the height category, she should be the tallest of all the daughters.



Kranti, the shortest daughter is ranked 1st in the qualification category. Kalpana and Kamlesh are both more qualified than Kamla and Kriti and take the 2nd and 3rd position in the Qualification category. Kriti is more qualified than Kamla, as given in statement (vi).



Therefore, Kamlesh is the 3rd tallest in the decreasing order of height.
