NMAT 2020 - Narsee Monjee Aptitude Test

NMAT

NMAT is a national level entrance test conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) for MBA admissions at NMIMS University and other reputed B-Schools in India and abroad. The NMAT exam format and rules are different from most other entrance tests.

NMAT can be taken at the candidate's convenience across 2-3 months from the day of the commencement. Candidates can choose the exam date and venue (preferred centre based on availability or proctored test at home). NMAT by GMAC score is based on the performance of candidates in three sections, namely, Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning.

Candidates can appear thrice for the test, and previously, the highest score was considered by NMIMS institutes. This was important as NMIMS places a high weightage (70%) on the NMAT score. However, the rules have been changed in 2021 - candidates can take the test upto three times, but NMIMS institutes will only consider the score for the main attempt.

Eligibility

Candidates with Bachelor's degree, with 50% or equal CGPA can appear for the test.
Candidates should check the eligibility criteria of the MBA college where he/she wants to apply. If the particular MBA college accepts NMAT scores, the candidate should ensure that he/she follows this eligibility criteria to be considered for admission by the respective institute.
If the test taker registers for NMAT and finds that he/she is not eligible for admission into the desired program or institute, no refund will be made.

Pattern

Candidates can appear thrice for the test, NMIMS institutes will consider only the first attempt but other institutes will consider the best of three.
