SNAP 2020 - Symbiosis National Aptitude Test

SNAP

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test is an entrance test conducted by the Symbiosis International University (SIU) for admission to the MBA/PGDM programmes. It is an online test comprising questions from General English, Quantitative-Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. After clearing the Test with the required cut-offs, candidates have to participate in Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interaction (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT), conducted by SIU institutes individually in the months of February and March. In 2020, the SNAP exam was conducted on three days and candidates were allowed two attempts. It is most likely that SNAP 2021 will follow the same pattern.

Eligibility

Bachelor's degree, with no less than 50% or equal CGPA (45% for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD)/Differently Abled (DA) classification).

The degree should be granted by any of the universities consolidated by an act of the central or state statutory body in India or other instructive organizations built up by an act of Parliament or pronounced to be considered as a university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

Competitors appearing for the final year of bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and the individuals who have finished degree prerequisites and are anticipating results can likewise apply.

International students or candidates who have graduated from an international university, have to obtain a certificate of equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Pattern

Candidates can appear twice for the test, the higher score will be considered for final percentile calculation.

Includes RC, Vocabulary (synonyms & antonyms, similar words, word usage, spelling, jumbled words), Fill in the Blanks and Cloze passages, Jumbled sentences, Grammar, Parts of Speech, Critical Reasoning (Syllogisms, Analogies)

RCs do not occur since 2020 due to the time being reduced to 1 hour
Analytical & Logical Reasoning Statement based questions, Arrangements, Blood Relations, Sequences and series, Puzzle, Coding and Input/Output, Clocks and Calendars, Visual Reasoning
Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency Quant - Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Modern Maths, Numbers (detailed topics in CAT syllabus)

Important Dates

The SNAP 2021 notification will be issued in the month of August, announcing the exam dates and change in exam pattern if any. Registration for the exam can be done in SNAP 2021 once the registration begins.
