7. Determiners

Determiners are words which refine or limit the noun/pronoun (or group of nouns) following them. They help us identify which noun we are referring to. Sometimes, articles are classified as determiners as well.

Example:
Abhay wanted my gift.
Which section are you from?
I spoke to that girl.

The common types of determiners are:

Generic: any, another, other.
She does not like any other brand.
I am still hungry, may I have another sandwich?

Possessives: my, mine, his, hers, their, our.
He keeps on taking my bike.
This is her laptop.

Demonstratives: this, that, these, those.
These days, everyone has access to the internet.
We live in the house off that road.

Interrogatives: which, whose, what.
Whose car is this?
Which of these outfits do you want?
